Il se forme sous l\u2019effet du rayonnement solaire, par la transformation chimique des oxydes d\u2019azote (NOx), des compos\u00e9s organiques volatils (COV) et du monoxyde de carbone (CO) qui sont des polluants primaires, pr\u00e9curseurs d\u2019ozone. Ces polluants sont \u00e9mis par l\u2019activit\u00e9 humaine, en particulier par les secteurs du transport et de l\u2019industrie. L\u2019ozone a des effets nocifs sur la sant\u00e9 humaine et les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes. Il contribue \u00e9galement au r\u00e9chauffement climatique, \u00e9tant un des principaux gaz \u00e0 effets de serre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019effet de serre<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019effet de serre est un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne naturel qui permet \u00e0 l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re de se r\u00e9chauffer \u00e0 partir de la chaleur rayonn\u00e9e par les surfaces terrestres, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence, dans l\u2019air, de gaz tels que la vapeur d\u2019eau, le gaz carbonique, le m\u00e9thane&#8230; L\u2019ozone est un gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, qui absorbe la chaleur rayonn\u00e9e par les sols. Le doublement des concentrations d&rsquo;ozone dans la troposph\u00e8re pourrait ainsi accro\u00eetre la temp\u00e9rature moyenne de l&rsquo;air d&rsquo;environ 1degr\u00e9 Celsius (\u00b0C).<br \/>Le risque Sant\u00e9 &#8211; Environnement<br \/>L\u2019ozone troposph\u00e9rique est utilis\u00e9 comme indicateur pendant les \u00e9pisodes de pollution de l\u2019air. Ses effets sont dommageables sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes (for\u00eats, v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et l\u2019agriculture), mais aussi sur la sant\u00e9 humaine. L\u2019ozone est un gaz tr\u00e8s irritant pour les yeux, la gorge et les bronches. Il peut provoquer une g\u00eane respiratoire et aggrave l\u2019asthme, notamment chez les enfants. Les zones les plus concern\u00e9es. L\u2019augmentation des \u00e9missions d\u2019oxydes d\u2019azote (NOx) et<br \/>de compos\u00e9s organiques volatils (COV) est responsable de l\u2019accroissement actuel des concentrations d\u2019ozone. Bien que les polluants primaires soient issus des<br \/>grandes agglom\u00e9rations, c\u2019est en milieu rural que l\u2019on enregistre les plus fortes concentrations d\u2019ozone. Cela s\u2019explique par le fait que les masses d\u2019air<br \/>se d\u00e9placent et entra\u00eenent les polluants pr\u00e9curseurs d\u2019ozone dans ces zones rurales. Le bassin m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en est d\u2019autant plus expos\u00e9 \u00e0 cette pollution par l\u2019ozone qu\u2019il est tr\u00e8s ensoleill\u00e9 et qu\u2019il comporte des zones urbaines ou industrielles fortement \u00e9mettrices de polluants pr\u00e9curseurs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La r\u00e9glementation europ\u00e9enne<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La r\u00e9glementation porte sur les niveaux d\u2019alerte de pollution par l\u2019ozone et les consignes sanitaires.<br \/>Elle vise les objectifs suivants :<br \/>\u2022 fixer les valeurs limites qu\u2019il convient de ne pas d\u00e9passer pour la protection de la sant\u00e9 humaine, de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et de la for\u00eat,<br \/>\u2022 rendre obligatoire la mesure, dans l\u2019air, des teneurs en ozone,<br \/>\u2022 pr\u00e9voir les seuils d\u2019information et d\u2019alerte de la population,<br \/>\u2022 imposer aux pouvoirs publics, lors des pics de pollution, la mise en place de proc\u00e9dures concr\u00e8tes d\u2019information de la population et d\u2019actions visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de polluant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019ozone est un polluant tr\u00e8s surveill\u00e9. La r\u00e9glementation fran\u00e7aise pr\u00e9voit une proc\u00e9dure d\u2019information et d\u2019alerte en cas de pollution de l\u2019air. Le grand public a pris l\u2019habitude d\u2019\u00eatre inform\u00e9 sur les teneurs en polluants mesur\u00e9es dans l\u2019air ambiant. Cette surveillance est mise en \u0153uvre dans les r\u00e9gions par les Associations de Surveillance de la Qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019Air (AASQA), agr\u00e9\u00e9es par le Minist\u00e8re en charge de l\u2019\u00c9cologie et du D\u00e9veloppement durable et sous la coordination nationale de l\u2019Agence de l\u2019Environnement et de la Ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019\u00c9nergie (ADEME).<br \/>L\u2019Agence de l\u2019Environnement et la Ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019\u00c9nergie est chef de file du projet VEGETPOLLOZONE conduit dans le cadre du programme europ\u00e9en \u00ab\u00a0Interreg IIIB-Medocc\u00a0\u00bb (M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e Occidentale). L&rsquo;objectif de ce projet est de faire conna\u00eetre les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts de l&rsquo;ozone sur la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, de les communiquer et de sensibiliser les acteurs publics \u00e0 cette probl\u00e9matique. Pour ce faire, un travail d&rsquo;observation et de quantification des sympt\u00f4mes d&rsquo;ozone portant sur diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces d&rsquo;arbres a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un partenariat transm\u00e9diterran\u00e9en entre la France, l\u2019Italie, l\u2019Espagne.<br \/>Vous pourrez trouver de plus amples informations sur le site de l&rsquo;Ademe concernant l&rsquo;ozone.
